Farmers Awareness Camp on Crop residue management at Sohawa

Farmers Awareness Camp on Crop residue management with the theme of In situ management of paddy straw was  coducted at village Sohawa, District Tarn Taran on 30.10.2019. Approximately 30 farmers participated in the event. Dr. Navjot Singh Brar (Asst Professor, Agronomy) and Dr. Anil Kumar (Asst Professor, Soil Science requested the farmers for in situ management of paddy straw so that a pollution free environment is created. They also urged the farmers  not to burn the paddy straw and save the environment from deterioration. They welcomed all the participants and awared farmers regarding different machineries useful for paddy straw management. They also appealed the farmers for not burning crop residue and requested them to incorporate it into the soil. They also said that KVK will aware the farmers regarding in situ management of crop residue in agricultural by conducting front line demonstration on their fields.
