Dr Anil Kumar, Assistant Professor (Soil Science) and Dr Bhanu Prakash Ch., Assistant Professor (Fisheries) of Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Booh, Tarn Taran conferred with ‘Excellence in Extension Award’ and Best Ph.D. Thesis Award, respectively during International Conference on Global Research Initiatives for Sustainable Agriculture and Allied Sciences (GRISAAS 2018) held on October 28-30, 2018 at Rajasthan Agricultural Research Institute, Durgapura, Jaipur, Rajasthan. The conference was inaugurated by Prof. MK Naik, Vice-Chancellor, UAHS, Shivamogga, Karnataka, who was chief guest of the programme. Dr AK Singh, Ex-Vice Chancellor, RVSKVV, Gwalior; Dr VS Rathore, Director, RARI, Jaipur; Dr US Sharma, Vice-Chancellor, MPUAT, Udaipur and were special guests of inaugural session. The awards on different categories were announced during the International conference. Dr Anil Kumar conferred with ‘Excellence in Extension Award’ by Astha Foundation, Meerut for his contribution in Soil Science and transfer of technology to the farmers. The executive committee of foundation confers its ‘Best Ph.D. Thesis award 2018’ to Dr Bhanu Prakash Ch. for his quality research work on ‘Studies on the effect of different stocking densities of Litopenaeus vannamei on growth, survival and carcass composition in summer and winter seasons in Andhra Pradesh’ carried out during his Ph.D. degree in the field of Aquaculture at West Bengal University of Animal and Fisheries Sciences, Kolkata.
